When you use ProspectPing, we collect the following information:

• Account information — Your email address, used for authentication
• Player subscriptions — Which players you follow and your notification preferences
• Push subscription data — Browser push endpoints and device tokens needed to deliver notifications
• Contact submissions — Email, category, and message when you use the contact form
• Usage data — Notification delivery status and read timestamps

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Deliver push notifications about players you follow
• Personalize your alert preferences
• Respond to your contact form submissions
• Improve the service and fix issues

3. Push Notification Data

We store your push subscription endpoint and device tokens solely to deliver notifications. You can unsubscribe from push notifications at any time through the Settings page. When you unsubscribe, your push subscription data is deleted.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

ProspectPing uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — Database, authentication, and backend services
• Vercel — Application hosting
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — Native push notifications for iOS and Android
• Resend — Transactional email for contact form notifications
• MLB Stats API — Player and game data (no user data is sent to MLB)

6. Data Retention

Notifications are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Account data, player subscriptions, and preferences are retained as long as your account is active. Contact form submissions are retained for support and improvement purposes.

7. Your Rights

You can unfollow players, disable notifications, and manage your preferences at any time through the app. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please reach out through our contact page.

8. Children's Privacy

ProspectPing is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of ProspectPing after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
